Mumbai: 72 Street, a SEBI-registered research analyst-led platform, has raised ₹4 crore from angel investors and UHNIs as it looks to expand its offerings into Futures & Options (F&O), model portfolios, mutual funds and commodities.
The company plans to use the funding to strengthen its technology and product capabilities and expand the 72 Street app and Venty, its AI-powered stock market researcher. To date, 72 Street has invested ₹3 crore in the business, with 45% of the investment directed towards technology and product development.
Incorporated in late 2025, 72 Street was founded by Rohit Agarwal, Co-Founder and CEO, and Fal Ghancha, Co-Founder and CTO. Agarwal brings more than 20 years of experience in investor advisory, with previous stints at Bajaj Allianz, HDFC Life and Reliance Capital. Ghancha was formerly Head of Technology and CISO at JioBlackRock AMC and CISO at DSP Mutual Fund.
The company’s flagship 72 Street app is designed to make stock-market research more accessible and transparent for retail investors. As a SEBI-registered research analyst platform, it publishes research-backed recommendations prepared and reviewed by its team of SEBI-registered research analysts.
Venty, the company’s AI-powered stock market researcher, scans more than 3,800 NSE- and BSE-listed stocks across fundamental, technical and sentiment indicators. It is designed to detect chart patterns and provide an initial analysis of stocks in under 20 seconds, translating market data into simpler insights for investors.
The company said Venty’s insights are reviewed by its SEBI-registered research analysts before publication, combining AI-led analysis with human oversight.
Fal Ghancha, Co-Founder and CTO, 72 Street, said, “With the 72 Street app, we wanted to give retail investors one trusted platform for their investing journey. Venty scans stocks across fundamental, technical and sentiment data, spotting chart patterns and candlestick formations that would otherwise take an analyst hours to find manually.”
Commenting on the company’s vision and the evolving needs of retail investors, Rohit Agarwal, Co-Founder and CEO, 72 Street, said, “Retail investors have more market information than ever, but understanding it is a different challenge. Our objective with the 72 Street app is to make research transparent and easy to understand, reviewed by our analysts before it reaches investors. We’re building a trusted research destination for India’s growing investor community.”
Going forward, 72 Street plans to expand beyond equities into F&O, model portfolios, mutual funds and commodities, with these offerings expected to be available through both the 72 Street app and Venty AI.
The company is also seeking SEBI Registered Investment Adviser (RIA) registration. If granted, the registration would enable 72 Street to offer personalised, one-on-one investment advisory services to individual investors.
Through its platform, the company aims to bring regulated research and AI-powered analysis together to simplify the investment research journey for India’s growing retail investor base.
