Mumbai: Aspect Global has appointed Surendra Kumar Sharma as Chief Operating Officer – Aspect Energy, strengthening the Group’s leadership as it expands its presence across the power and renewable energy sector.
With more than 19 years of experience across power, renewable energy, infrastructure and project development, Sharma will be responsible for driving the strategic direction and growth of Aspect Energy. His mandate will include project development, operational excellence, strategic partnerships and building a scalable energy platform for the Group.
Sharma joins Aspect Energy from Jindal India Renewable Energy Ltd., where he was heading Project Development. During his career, he has held senior leadership and management roles at Adani Power, Reliance Power, Sterlite Power (Vedanta Group), Wind World India Ltd. and ReNew Power, among others.
His expertise spans utility-scale solar and wind projects, hybrid renewable energy, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), pumped storage, land acquisition, regulatory approvals, power evacuation, grid connectivity and project execution. He has worked across the project development lifecycle, including site identification, feasibility and due diligence, connectivity planning, statutory approvals and execution. His recent experience includes power evacuation and connectivity planning for projects exceeding 5 GW.
