KL: Every year, Thaipusam celebrations in Malaysia are witnessed by thousands of Tamil audience around the world through Astro Ulagam’s LIVE streaming on its official website.
For Thaipusam 2019, Astro Ulagam will be streaming LIVE from multiple locations around Malaysia and provide exclusive coverage from Aarupadai Veedu, the six famous and divine locations of Lord Subramanya spread across Tamil Nadu. Thaipusam celebrations are usually special and grand at these abodes and devotees gather in big crowds to get a glimpse of Lord Murugan at each of the temples
Starting 20th January, 5 pm onwards, the LIVE streaming will be carried out until 21st January, 10 pm (Malaysian Time) at www.astroulagam.com.my/thaipusam2019
Astro Ulagam hosts will give LIVE updates like the weather, prayer timings, Road closure and many other details from Malaysia’s iconic Murugan temples including Batu Malai Sri Murugan Temple (Batu Caves), Kallumalai Arulmigu Subramaniyar Temple (Ipoh), Thaneermalai Arulmigu Balathandayuthapani Temple (Penang) and Sri Subramaniya Swami Temple (Sungai Petani).
Extended coverage from Aarupadai Veedu, the 6 holy Murugan temples situated in Tamil Nadu will be one of the highlights of the LIVE streaming. The holy temples include Thirupparamkunram, Thiruchendur, Palani, Swamimalai, Thiruthani, and Pazhamudircholai.
Netizens can share their Thaipusam moments and clicks with the hashtag ‘#VelVelMuruga’ to be featured in the social media display of the LIVE streaming and on Astro Ulagam’s official website.
In the previous years, Astro Ulagam’s Thaipusam LIVE streaming have garnered multiple awards and accolades, including the prestigious Guinness World Records for the ‘Longest Live Streamed Festival’, Asia Book of Records for the ‘Highest Reach on Facebook for Live Streaming of Festival’ and Malaysia Book of Records for the ‘Highest Reach on Facebook for Live Streaming of Tamil Programme’.
