New Delhi: Crayons Advertising CFO and Key Managerial Personnel Mukesh Singhal passed away on August 16, 2026, in what the company described as a “sudden and unexpected” death.
In a regulatory filing on August 17, Crayons Advertising expressed its appreciation for Singhal’s contribution to the company and said that the organisation and its employees would remain grateful for his “exemplary services and guidance”.
Singhal had returned to Crayons Advertising in a senior leadership capacity after having spent over 18 years with the company during his earlier tenure. He was appointed Chief Financial Officer and Key Managerial Personnel on November 4, 2024.
His association with Crayons dates back to May 2001, when he joined the agency as General Manager – Finance. During his first stint, he spent more than 18 years with the organisation before moving on to other finance leadership roles.
Before returning to Crayons, Singhal served as Vice-President – Finance and Accounts at Elcomponics Sales. He had previously held the position of CFO at United Pressure Cooker and also worked with KK Spun Pipe.
A chartered accountancy professional, Singhal pursued his studies at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India between 1989 and 1994.
At Crayons, he was responsible for critical aspects of the company’s financial operations, including financial planning, controls, compliance and governance. He also played a role in the company’s engagement with investors.
During an investor call earlier this year, Singhal outlined Crayons Advertising’s journey as an Indian-owned integrated advertising company and discussed its expansion across creative, media, digital and outdoor services.
His return to Crayons came as the company continued to build an integrated offering spanning several advertising and marketing disciplines, with Singhal contributing to the financial and governance functions supporting the business.
The company did not provide further details on the circumstances surrounding his death.
