Mumbai: Dangal TV has marked India’s 80th year of Independence with its leading actresses coming together to celebrate the spirit of freedom, courage and a changing India. Actresses from the channel’s popular shows shared their thoughts on what independence means today, reflecting on themes including self-belief, equality, resilience, the freedom to dream and the courage to make one’s own choices.
The initiative brings together messages from the channel’s leading ladies, who also paid tribute to the sacrifices of India’s freedom fighters while highlighting the evolving meaning of freedom in contemporary India. Through their messages, the actresses emphasised the importance of pursuing aspirations, expressing oneself and contributing to the country’s future.
Tanishq Seth, who plays Radhya in Mann Ati Sundar, said, “For me, true independence begins from within. It is about believing in yourself, accepting who you are and having the courage to move beyond the expectations placed upon you. This Independence Day, I wish everyone the strength to embrace their individuality and recognise that our true beauty lies much beyond our appearances. Dhurti Mangeshkar, who plays Ruchita in Mann Sundar, said, “Independence Day is a beautiful reminder of the freedom we have today the freedom to dream big, express ourselves and proudly embrace our identity.
