Bengaluru: Global advertising and marketing network dentsu has acquired Bengaluru-based performance creative agency Scroll Stop, strengthening its capabilities in performance-led creative services as artificial intelligence continues to automate media buying, audience targeting and campaign optimisation across digital advertising platforms.
The acquisition was announced by Scroll Stop co-founder Vidhu Ravinath in a LinkedIn post, where he revealed that the agency would now operate as “dentsu Scroll Stop.”
Founded seven years ago, Scroll Stop specialises in creating direct-response video advertisements and user-generated content (UGC)-style creatives designed to help brands improve return on ad spend (ROAS) and lower customer acquisition costs (CAC) on platforms such as Meta.
In his post, Ravinath reflected on the company’s growth, saying Scroll Stop was started with an initial investment of ₹15,000 and has now become part of the global dentsu network. “Scroll Stop is now dentsu Scroll Stop,” he wrote.
The agency combines performance-focused creative strategy with vertical video production, using a test-and-learn approach to optimise campaign outcomes. Rather than relying on a limited number of creatives, Scroll Stop develops multiple ad variations, measures their performance using live campaign data and continuously refines them to improve conversion metrics.
According to the company, its campaigns have generated more than ₹52 crore in revenue for brands including Skore Condoms, Specsmakers, Frido, Phool, Ugaoo, The Sleep Company, Zlade, Ambrane, Setu, Sugar Fit and Wellbeing Nutrition, along with more than 70 other consumer brands, including several Shark Tank-backed companies.
The acquisition comes as creative quality is becoming an increasingly important differentiator in digital advertising. With platforms such as Meta and Google automating significant portions of campaign execution through AI, advertisers are placing greater emphasis on high-performing creative assets that can improve campaign efficiency and business outcomes.
For dentsu, the acquisition adds a specialised performance creative capability that complements its existing strengths across media, creative, commerce, data and technology. Scroll Stop’s expertise in developing, testing and scaling performance-driven creative assets can be integrated with dentsu’s broader marketing ecosystem to deliver measurable outcomes for clients.
The deal also expands dentsu’s access to digitally native businesses. Scroll Stop has built its client base largely among D2C and ecommerce brands, providing the network with deeper expertise in servicing consumer-focused startups and high-growth digital brands.
The acquisition aligns with dentsu’s broader strategy of bringing together creative, media, commerce, data and AI-enabled marketing capabilities as brands increasingly seek integrated partners capable of delivering both creative excellence and measurable business performance.
Ravinath is expected to continue leading the business under the new dentsu Scroll Stop entity as the agency integrates with dentsu’s operations.
