Gurugram: InsuranceDekho and the RenewBuy group have announced the consolidation of their businesses to create a unified, pan-India insurance distribution ecosystem.
The combined entity is positioned as India’s largest AI-enabled insurance distribution platform in terms of POSP-driven insurance premium generated for Fiscal Year 2026. Together, the platforms have facilitated the issuance of more than two crore insurance policies since inception, as of March 31, 2026.
The combined business has a premium book exceeding ₹66,000 million, a network of over six lakh digital partners and reach across 98.57% of India’s pin codes as of March 31, 2026. The consolidation brings together InsuranceDekho’s presence across northern and western India with RenewBuy’s footprint in the southern markets.
The unified platform will operate under the InsuranceDekho brand, with Ankit Agrawal leading the combined entity. The founders of both InsuranceDekho and RenewBuy will continue with the merged organisation. The integration will bring together teams across technology, distribution, product and operations.
The combined entity will focus on an AI-first, technology-enabled distribution model. InsuranceDekho’s existing AI tools provide partners with real-time insurance plan recommendations, while RenewBuy’s technology capabilities will contribute to automated partner onboarding and digital distribution.
The platform will operate as an open, multi-insurer ecosystem, offering products across motor, health, life and commercial insurance. It will combine digital onboarding, policy issuance and AI-powered advisory to support insurance partners across markets.

Commenting on the development, Ankit Agrawal, Founder & CEO, InsuranceDekho, said, “This coming together is a strategic step towards taking insurance to the last mile. Our model has always been powered by our partners, and by backing them with a range of product choice, stronger tools and the support to grow their business, we deepen insurance access in the towns and villages of Bharat that need it most. This combination brings together complementary strengths in technology, on-ground distribution and insurer partnerships. Our immediate focus is disciplined execution and seamless integration.”

Balachander Sekhar, CEO, RenewBuy, added, “The union of these two organisations brings together a combination of digital, technology and distribution enablement. By pairing technology depth with skilled on-ground partner network capabilities, we can equip insurance partners with smarter tools and seamless digital experiences – and, through them, aim to bring insurance within reach of every Indian. Together, we believe we are building the infrastructure to strengthen last-mile access.”
The combined entity will continue to work with the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) and other stakeholders to expand insurance access across the country.
The consolidation is also expected to create expanded career pathways and cross-functional opportunities for employees across insurance, AI, technology and distribution.
Going forward, the unified entity will focus on enabling product choice and supporting insurers and partners through technology, data and phygital infrastructure, with insurance remaining at the core of its distribution and technology ecosystem.
