Mumbai: News18 Bangla has strengthened its editorial leadership team with the appointment of Raja Chatterjee as Editor, News18 Bangla, and Anirban Sinha as Editor – Output. The move is aimed at further strengthening the channel’s focus on credible, impactful and audience-first journalism.
As part of the editorial strengthening, Kamalika Sengupta, who represents CNN-News18 in the East, will also play a key role in the channel’s editorial transformation. News18 Bangla will leverage her experience and expertise from CNN-News18 to bring greater depth and perspective to its coverage.
Raja Chatterjee brings extensive experience across leading media platforms and is regarded as a prominent media personality in Bengal. Anirban Sinha, a familiar face in the Bengali news genre, is known for his on-screen presence and experience in developing engaging and audience-focused news output.
The strengthened editorial team will work under the leadership of Dhrubajyoti Pramanik, Managing Editor, Network18. With more than three decades of experience in the Indian media industry, Pramanik has worked across diverse regional media markets and has been involved in covering major political developments and transitions of power across the country.
Under his leadership, News18 Marathi achieved the No. 1 position in Maharashtra, while News18 Odia and News18 Assam Northeast have also witnessed editorial growth and turnaround in their respective markets.
With the new leadership structure, News18 Bangla will focus on news-driven programming, in-depth reporting and stories relevant to viewers. The channel will continue to focus on local and hyperlocal news from West Bengal while leveraging Network18’s wider newsgathering capabilities for national and international coverage.
