Mumbai: Parle Products has retained its position as India’s Most Chosen In-Home FMCG brand for the 14th consecutive year, while Britannia continued to lead the Out-of-Home rankings, according to the 14th edition of the Brand Footprint India 2026 report by Worldpanel by Numerator.
The annual report ranks India’s most chosen FMCG brands across in-home and out-of-home consumption based on Consumer Reach Points (CRP), a metric that combines the number of consumers buying a brand with the frequency of their purchases.
Overall, FMCG brand choices in India grew 5.1% in 2025, with total CRPs increasing from 123 billion in 2024 to 129 billion. All FMCG sectors recorded growth during the year, although Food and Dairy expanded at a slower pace than in the previous year.
The report also highlighted a growing challenge for smaller brands. While 83% of highly penetrated brands and 78% of mid-sized brands recorded CRP growth, only 56% of small brands managed to grow their CRPs, indicating increasing difficulty in converting scale into consumer reach.
Parle leads In-Home rankings
Parle Products topped the In-Home rankings with 8,515 million CRPs, followed by Britannia at 8,296 million and Amul at 6,922 million. Clinic Plus and Surf Excel completed the top five with 3,971 million and 3,861 million CRPs, respectively.
The top five remained unchanged from the previous year. Tata Consumer Products ranked sixth with 3,418 million CRPs, while Nandini moved up to seventh. Sunfeast ranked eighth.
Balaji entered the top 10 for the first time, rising from 11th position in 2025 to ninth with 2,876 million CRPs. Haldiram’s completed the top 10.
Among notable growth stories, Rin returned to the top 25 after a two-year gap, increasing CRPs by 11% to 1,268 million. Campa recorded a 2.7 percentage-point increase in penetration, while Dettol climbed seven places to rank 36.
Sunrise rose eight places to rank 48, with CRPs increasing 18% to 588 million, while Exo moved up 11 places to rank 52 after adding 3.4 percentage points to its penetration.
Britannia retains Out-of-Home leadership
Britannia retained the top position in the Out-of-Home rankings with 619 million CRPs, followed by Balaji at 499 million, Haldiram’s at 476 million and Cadbury at 450 million.
Amul entered the top five for the first time with 281 million CRPs, moving up from sixth place. Lay’s also climbed to sixth, while Parle Products moved to seventh. Kurkure, Bingo and Sunfeast completed the top 10.
A-One recorded 50% CRP growth to rank 11, while KitKat grew 26% to rank 13 and Crax increased 19% to rank 14. The report noted that snacking brands continued to dominate the top five, highlighting the strength of India’s out-of-home snacking culture.
In the Out-of-Home beverage category, Amul retained the top spot with 62 million CRPs, followed by Thums Up, Frooti, Sprite and Maaza.

Commenting on the report, K. Ramakrishnan, Managing Director- South Asia, Worldpanel by Numerator, said, “Consumer choice remains the most reliable test of a brand’s strength and Brand Footprint has captured that reality for over a decade. But rankings alone don’t tell the full story, Consumer Reach Points (CRPs) do. CRP measures two things together: how many households buy a brand, and how often they come back to it. This year, those two forces moved differently across categories. Dairy brands, for instance, aren’t especially high on penetration, but rising purchase frequency alone pushed their CRPs up. Large and mid-sized brands saw strong CRP growth, but only about half of smaller brands managed to grow theirs at all- a sign that turning visibility into repeat, reliable choice is getting harder.”
The Brand Footprint India 2026 report covers 427 FMCG brands across Food, Home Care, Health & Beauty, Beverages, Snacking and Dairy. The In-Home panel covers national urban and rural consumption, while the Out-of-Home panel covers towns with populations of 1 million-plus and NCCS ABC consumers across Food & Beverage categories.
