Kolkata: Sony AATH has announced the live streaming of the knockout stages of the Durand Cup with an exclusive Bangla commentary feed, bringing the tournament’s semi-finals and grand finale closer to Bengali-speaking football audiences.
The channel will stream both semi-finals on August 19 and 20, followed by the grand finale on August 23. The initiative is aimed at strengthening Sony AATH’s connect with Bengal’s football audience by offering the matches in a language that resonates with the region’s strong football culture.
The quarter-finals have set up the knockout stage with East Bengal, NorthEast United FC, Shillong Lajong FC, Jamshedpur FC, Mohun Bagan, Indian Army, SC Delhi and FC Raengdai securing their places in the next round.
The first semi-final will be streamed on August 19 from 7 PM to 9 PM, while the second semi-final will be available on August 20 from 7 PM to 9 PM. The tournament will conclude with the Grand Final on August 23 from 5 PM to 7 PM. All three matches will feature Bangla commentary.
