Mumbai: Sony MAX has partnered with Nobel Peace Laureate Kailash Satyarthi and the Satyarthi Movement for Global Compassion to raise awareness about child safety ahead of the World Television Premiere of Mardaani 3, scheduled for Sunday, August 16 at 8 PM.

As part of the collaboration, Kailash Satyarthi has recorded a special awareness message for Sony MAX, urging families and communities to remain vigilant and respond immediately when a child goes missing. Inspired by the film’s narrative around crimes against children, the initiative aims to reinforce the message that child safety is a shared responsibility and that timely action can make a critical difference.

The collaboration brings together the film’s focus on child protection with Satyarthi’s advocacy for children’s rights, with the objective of encouraging greater awareness, compassion and collective action towards creating a safer environment for children.

Kailash Satyarthi, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate 2014, said, “Every hour, 11 children are abducted and forced into exploitation. Every missing child is someone’s son or daughter, and every missing child must be treated as an emergency because every minute counts. While the police play a crucial role, protecting children is a collective responsibility. Through greater awareness, compassion and timely action, we can ensure every child grows up in safety, freedom and dignity. I am glad that Sony MAX is helping bring attention to the critical issue of child safety.”

Devika Prabhu, Business Head – Hindi Movies, Sony Pictures Networks India, said, “At Sony MAX, we believe entertainment has the power to entertain, inspire meaningful conversations and create positive impact. With the World Television Premiere of Mardaani 3, we wanted to take the conversation beyond the screen. Partnering with Kailash Satyarthi, whose lifelong commitment to protecting children’s rights has inspired millions around the world, was a natural extension of that vision. Through this initiative, we hope to encourage families and communities to stay aware, stay vigilant and come together to ensure every child is safe.”

For nearly five decades, Satyarthi has worked towards rescuing children from trafficking, child labour and exploitation and advocating for their right to a safe and dignified childhood.

The initiative aligns with the central theme of Mardaani 3, which highlights crimes against children and the need to protect vulnerable communities. Headlined by Rani Mukerji, the film marks the return of police officer Shivani Shivaji Roy. The story follows her investigation into a series of mysterious disappearances of young girls, which leads to a larger conspiracy involving a trafficking network.

As Shivani races against time to uncover the truth, the film explores themes of courage, justice and the fight to protect children.

The World Television Premiere of Mardaani 3 will air on Sony MAX on Sunday, August 16 at 8 PM.
