Mumbai: Sony Sports Network and Sony LIV have announced their expert panel for the upcoming India Tour of Sri Lanka, scheduled from August 15 to 27, 2026. The series will feature a line-up of former cricketers and experienced commentators from India and Sri Lanka, bringing analysis and insights to viewers across multiple languages.
Former India captain Ajinkya Rahane will make his Test commentary debut during the tour. He will be joined by former India players and established cricket voices including Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajay Jadeja, Mohammad Kaif, Sanjay Manjrekar, Angelo Mathews, Russell Arnold and Farveez Maharoof.
The Extraaa Innings panel will provide pre-match, mid-innings and post-match analysis, covering team selection, player matchups, individual performances and key moments from the series.
The English commentary and analysis panel includes Samir Kochhar, Harsha Bhogle, Arjun Pandit, Sanjay Manjrekar, Angelo Mathews, Russell Arnold, Farveez Maharoof and Roshan Abeysinghe.
For the Hindi feed, the panel for the first Test will feature Samir Kocchar, Ajinkya Rahane, Ajay Jadeja, Mohammad Kaif, Murali Kartik, Vivek Razdan and Paul Valthaty. The second Test panel will include Gaurav Kapur, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajay Jadeja, Mohammad Kaif, Saba Karim, Vivek Razdan and Paul Valthaty.
The Tamil commentary team comprises W.V. Raman, Vidyut Sivaramakrishnan, Bhagavathy Prasad, Sudhir Srinivasan and Shailaja Sundar. The Telugu panel features KS Bharat, Venkatapathy Raju, Ravi Teja, Rakesh Deva and Sandeep Kumar, while the Kannada team includes Venkatesh Prasad, Sujith Somasunder, Sharath HS, Chandramouli Kanavi and Sumanth Bhat.
The Indian team for the Sri Lanka series will be led by Shubman Gill, with KL Rahul serving as vice-captain. The squad also includes Ravindra Jadeja, Rishabh Pant, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Siraj, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Dhruv Jurel, Manav Suthar, Prasidh Krishna, Gurnoor Brar, Devdutt Padikkal, Saransh Jain, Auqib Nabi and Sarfaraz Khan.
In the absence of Jasprit Bumrah due to injury, Auqib Nabi has received his maiden India Test call-up. Sarfaraz Khan is also set to return to the Test side for the first time since November 2024, while Sai Sudharsan has been ruled out.
The India Tour of Sri Lanka will be broadcast on Sony Sports Network and streamed on Sony LIV, beginning August 15, 2026.
