Chennai: Sun TV Network’s Chief Operating Officer (COO) C Praveen has retired from the company after nearly 28 years, bringing an end to his association that began in 1998.
The company said Praveen’s retirement took effect from the close of business hours on August 31, 2026. The development was communicated through a regulatory filing by Sun TV Network.
In the filing, the company acknowledged Praveen’s long-standing contribution to the organisation and credited his tenure with having a significant impact on the network’s growth and operations.
Sun TV Network said that the company benefited considerably from Praveen’s vision and leadership during his association. His nearly three-decade tenure saw the network evolve across a rapidly changing television and media landscape.
The company formally stated in its disclosure that C Praveen, Chief Operating Officer, had retired from his position with effect from the close of business on August 31, 2026.
Praveen’s departure marks the conclusion of one of the longer leadership associations within the Sun TV Network ecosystem, with his career at the company spanning close to three decades.
