Mumbai: Swiggy Ltd. has announced expanded leadership roles for three senior executives as the company continues to scale its Instamart and Food Marketplace businesses. Himavant Kurnala has been appointed Chief Growth and Product Officer – Instamart, Nitesh Garg as Chief Technology Officer – Instamart, and Saurav Goyal as Chief Operating Officer – Food Marketplace.
The appointments are part of Swiggy’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its leadership bench and provide larger mandates to executives who have played key roles in scaling its businesses.
Speaking about the leadership changes, Girish Menon, CHRO, Swiggy, said, “Swiggy has always believed that robust leadership comes from investing in our talent, grooming them and giving them a larger canvas to express. Himavant, Nitesh and Saurav exemplify this- each has moved across varied charters and been instrumental in scaling our businesses. Their expanded roles recognise what they have built, and, more importantly, offer an opportunity to take on larger challenges and shape what’s next for Swiggy.”
Himavant Kurnala, Chief Growth and Product Officer – Instamart
Kurnala has led Instamart’s Product charter since 2024, subsequently expanding his remit to include Growth and Brand Marketing. In his new role, he will bring together Growth, Marketing, Analytics and Product to strengthen customer value and business growth.
During his tenure, Kurnala has driven Instamart’s transition towards an AI-native product and operating model, bringing Product, Design, Analytics and Trust & Safety together within a single organisation.
His initiatives have included Maxxsaver, multi-pod delivery, the standalone Instamart app, AI-powered search and personalisation, merchandising and pricing, brand portal monetisation and supply-chain efficiencies. These initiatives have contributed to growth in transacting users, orders per day and advertising revenue, alongside lower customer acquisition costs.
Nitesh Garg, Chief Technology Officer – Instamart
Garg has been with Swiggy for more than seven years and most recently served as Senior Vice President, leading engineering for Instamart and New Initiatives.
He has led Instamart’s engineering function since its inception, developing its consumer experience stack and supply-chain systems, as well as foundational platforms across advertising, pricing, discounting and catalogue that are now used across Instamart, Food Marketplace and other verticals.
As CTO – Instamart, Garg will continue to focus on technology innovation, engineering excellence and the adoption of AI to support the business’s next phase of growth.
Saurav Goyal, Chief Operating Officer – Food Marketplace
Goyal joined Swiggy in 2020 and has held leadership roles spanning Business Finance for Food and Instamart, as well as Driver and Delivery Product and Operations.
He has worked closely with the business on strategic planning, operating leverage and sustainable profitability, while also contributing to Swiggy’s IPO journey. Under his leadership, Food Marketplace delivered its strongest growth quarter yet in early 2026, supported by a delivery network that remained reliable, compliant and well-utilised.
Goyal also led the shared-network launch of Toing, which is now operational across more than 50 cities, and brought Operations, Product, Analytics and Marketing together into a unified Driver & Delivery organisation.
In his expanded role as COO – Food Marketplace, Goyal will focus on execution and operating discipline while continuing to lead Driver and Delivery and taking on responsibility for Food Customer Experience.
The latest changes follow a series of leadership appointments at Swiggy. Nandita Sinha was recently appointed Chief Executive Officer, Instamart, while Gautam Swaroop took on the role of Chief Business Officer, Instamart. Earlier this year, Swapnil Bajpai was elevated to Chief Executive Officer of Swiggy’s Dineout and Scenes business.
Sidharth Bhakoo continues to serve as Chief Business Officer, Swiggy Food Marketplace
