Mumbai: Tamil Zee 5 has unveiled an expanded content slate featuring marquee films, returning franchises, original series, reality formats, AI-powered storytelling and live sports, as the platform looks to strengthen its Tamil entertainment offering.
The slate is headlined by Jananayagan, described as one of the year’s most anticipated titles and a significant milestone in Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay’s cinematic journey. The film marks his first release following his political transition and his final theatrical appearance. Tamil Zee 5 will bring the title to audiences worldwide.
Alongside Jananayagan, the platform’s upcoming theatrical line-up includes Hi, starring Nayanthara and Kavin; Demonte Colony, featuring Arulnidhi and Priya Bhavani Shankar; Savithri, starring Keerthy Suresh; Nooru Kodi Vanavil, featuring Harish Kalyan; and Raawadi, starring Akshay Kumar and Basil Joseph.
The platform is also bringing back popular original franchises with Koose Munisamy Veerappan 2, Regai 2, Vilangu 2, Thadayam 2 and Sattamum 2. Its new originals include Ananthakaalam, featuring Anand Neelakandan; Mix FM, directed by Nelson; Octopus from Cinemum; and Thaai Mann, featuring Muthukumar, Adithya Joshi and Lisha. Reality format Thee Kural will further expand the platform’s entertainment offering.
The slate also marks new and continued collaborations with production houses including Dheeran Productions, Dream Warrior Pictures, KVM Productions, SS Group, 18 Creators, Cocktail Cinemas, Passion Studios, Seven Screen Studios, Zee Studios, Drumsticks Production, Cinemum LLP and Happy Unicorn.

Beyond films and originals, the Tamil ZEE5 portfolio will feature AI-powered storytelling titles such as Garuda, Vikram Vetal, Shiv Sati, Chandrakanta, Tirupati Balaji, Barbarik Narmada and Ram Anjanay Yudh, along with children’s content including Kundaka Mandakka.
The platform is also expanding its live sports offering with properties including FIFA, Bundesliga, Coppa Italia, Supercoppa Italiana and ILT20.
With the expanded slate, Tamil ZEE5 is positioning itself as a broader entertainment destination, bringing together films, fiction, non-fiction, mythology, children’s programming, reality formats, AI-led storytelling and live sports for Tamil audiences across viewing occasions.
