Noida: Zee Media Corporation Limited (ZMCL) reported a 47.7% year-on-year increase in advertising revenue to ₹1,797.1 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, compared with ₹1,216.6 million in Q1 FY26.
The company reported consolidated operating revenue of ₹1,908.5 million in Q1 FY27, up 4.7% from ₹1,823.6 million in the corresponding quarter last year. Operating expenditure stood at ₹1,745.9 million, while operating profit (EBITDA) was ₹162.6 million.
Subscription revenue also increased 9.9% year-on-year to ₹111.4 million, compared with ₹101.3 million in Q1 FY26.

During the quarter, Zee Media’s editorial operations focused on extensive coverage of the West Bengal Elections through Zee News and Zee 24 Ghanta, including constituency-level ground reporting, data-led analysis, polling-day developments and counting-day updates.
The company also leveraged its regional network for coverage of elections in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Assam and Puducherry, combining national coverage with language-specific reporting and local insights.
Zee Media’s global thought-leadership initiatives continued through WION, including the Global Leadership & Innovation Summit in Sri Lanka, which brought together policymakers, business leaders and experts to discuss India-Sri Lanka relations and areas of collaboration.
During Q1, the company also conducted 36 events across sectors including healthcare, travel and tourism, public policy, business, leadership, education, culture and community.
In the infotainment and cultural space, Zee Media expanded its IP portfolio with Bhojpuri Samman, an event celebrating personalities and contributors from Bhojpuri cinema and entertainment.
Meanwhile, Zee Bharat began its brand transformation initiatives aimed at developing a younger positioning, including the Green Champions initiative. Zee Business continued its financial programming through properties such as Money Alpha, Wealth Summit and Bharose Ki Choice. The channel also ranked first among competitors in YouTube VOD video views during Q1, according to Tubular.
Technology and AI remained key areas of focus, with the company integrating AI-led tools across newsrooms and content workflows. These initiatives are aimed at supporting reporting, improving operational processes, enabling data-driven storytelling and enhancing efficiency.
The Q1 performance comes as Zee Media continues to focus on diversifying its revenue streams while expanding its editorial, regional, global and digital businesses.
