72% Millennials Would Prefer Workplace Celebrations: Script Survey

Mumbai: Godrej & Boyce, the flagship company of the Godrej Group, announced that its brand Script has rolled out an exciting festive offer for consumers across ages and geographies to experience its urbane and aesthetic offerings at discounted rates.

While workspaces across Indian metros begin to repatriate their staff in a hybrid manner, many officegoers stay back for yet another year of festivities at home. The New Sense of Place survey by Script, a Godrej & Boyce venture that creates furniture and accessories to celebrate a fluid and evolutionary way of living, found that 72% of millennials across metros miss workplace celebrations during the festive season, while 68% Gen Z respondents admitted the same. However, working professionals continue to spruce up home spaces with new furniture and accessories to welcome the festive season.

With Indian festive celebrations often centered around food, Script’s vast inventory of 180 SKUs in the categories of dinnerware, serve-ware and glassware collections have gained popularity among new-age consumers that are keen on recreating outdoor experiences at home. Adding fervour to the celebrations, the festive offer from Script presents a wide catalogue of gifting options to help employees enjoy the festivities while staying home.

Inspired by the concept of ‘Freedom of Living’, Script is set to offer discounts of up to 20% based on purchase between INR 50,000 to 3,00,000 and above until December 2021. The brand will also offer an additional 3% early bird discount, in November 2021, across retail stores.

Rajat Mathur, Business Head, Script a Godrej & Boyce venture, said, “Throughout the several phases of lockdowns, we have witnessed an uptick in demand for home décor and furniture across cities. Consumers are now increasingly aware of the new lifestyle needs and are prioritizing home furnishing as an essential. The festive season invites a great interest in new purchases. With the lockdown impacting the whole of Q1, we are now expecting 40% of this fiscal’s sales to come in Q3. In furniture, living room furniture (Sofas & casual seating) contribute to 45% of our sales and that’s likely to continue. For décor, soft furnishings (Rugs, throws & cushion covers) contribute to 50% of our accessories sales. With our discounted offers, we aim to benefit consumers and fulfill their need for functional and design-forward home spaces that experience fluidity in lifestyle.”
