Bengaluru : Zee Kannada is set to explore a new reality format with first ever acting based talent hunt for children in Kannada GEC market with the launch of new non-fiction property Drama Juniors.
Drama Juniors on Zee Kannada is an acting based talent hunt show that puts children in the age group of 5-13 years through a series of tasks and challenges that will groom them as actors and test their creativity, spontaneity and acting capabilities.
It may be noted that Zee Group’s primary GEC Zee TV was airing reality series India’s Best Cinestars Ki Khoj with similar format for adults between the age group of 18 to 40 years in the year 2004 and 2014 that was produced by the in-house production company Essel Vision. The show has created many Bollywood and Hindi Television stars.
The kids participating on Drama Juniors will be judged and mentored by eminent TV and Movie celebrities, Lakshmi, Vijay Raghavendra and T N Seetharam. To add to this, the anchor of the show Master Anand, Television celebrity, who is known for his brilliant comic sense, will ensure that this story will have many interesting chapters and lots of exciting moments. Through this entertaining process, contestants will compete against one another which will eventually decide the winner of the show.
With Drama Juniors, Zee Kannada will introduce an all-new format in the non-fiction genre for Karnataka market. Acting is something each one of us engages in, perhaps, without even realizing it. We all go through life portraying a variety of roles we are called upon to play. Children, without a doubt, are the most natural actors as they are simply not conscious of themselves.
In this first season of Drama Juniors, the judges, hosts and the creative team together will create an atmosphere that is most conducive for the kids to completely come out of their shells, bloom and act effortlessly, delivering one heart-warming performance after another.
Drama Juniors is all set for launch on 30th April, which will be aired on every Saturday at 9 pm.
Zee Kannada made a strong mark with the second season of its signature show Weekend with Ramesh. The show which showcased heartwarming and emotional stories of celebrities’ unknown struggle became a household name in its current season. Celebrities poured their heart out much to the love and adoration of their fans and the show was brilliantly hosted by Ramesh Aravind, known for his signature style. The show came to an end last week with a high voltage finale featuring south Indian superstar Kiccha Sudeep.
