Ranchi: The Jharkhand Rai University, Ranchi has conferred an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Philosophy, honoris causa on Mr Mahendra Mohan Gupta in recognition of his outstanding contribution to Media leadership & public life.
His dynamic leadership has ushered in the dawning of a new Jagran. From being a one-state, one-newspaper, one-language media player, the company has evolved to a multi-state, multi-brand, multi-language, multi-media conglomerate. The institute recognizes his contribution as a media stalwart who has helped create awareness and spearheaded movements concerning issues and challenges that afflict society. In his role as a Parliamentarian, he’s recognized as a force of change and transformation, relentlessly pursuing the welfare of human rights and dignity.
Recognized as an icon and inspiration to youth worldwide, Mr Mahendra Mohan Gupta stands all amongst media icons with his focus on grassroots activism and local leadership with empathy that enables him to create a new narrative of love, harmony, respect and understanding, taking along all genders and generations.
