Mumbai: &pictures, will air JD, an intense drama on Friday, 11th May 2018 at 10 PM. Based on a true incident, JD is a story of an editor who is charged for assaulting a female journalist. The movie brings to the fore the challenges faced by journalists on a regular basis to bring out the truth. Directed and produced by Shailendra Pandey, the movie stars Lalit Bisht and Vedita Pratap Singh in lead roles along with veteran actors Aman Verma and Govind Namdev who will be seen in pivotal roles.
Having studied journalism in the United States of America, Jai Dwivedi aka JD (Lalit Bisht) joins a small publication in Lucknow with the dream of going to Delhi to make it big in the industry. On the first day of the job he manages to get a story published with his byline and thus begins his journey. He soon climbs the ladder of success and with the financial support of his politician uncle Divakar Verma (Govind Namdev) and sets up his own magazine in Delhi, titled JD. His editor, Noor (Vedita Pratap Singh) takes on the entire charge of the magazine and ends up controlling Jai. Eventually, JD is charged of mistreating one of his female journalists and his lawyer (Aman Verma) battles to free him.
