Chennai : Colors Tamil’s latest offering in the scripted reality genre, ‘Colors Comedy Nights’. A roller-coaster ride of hilarity, the show will feature television’s hot favorite Mirchi Vijay in the lead along with three other budding comedians namely, Vaiga, Tamil Arasan and Vaidhya. Produced by Tharag Padaipagam, the show is set to premiere on January 12th and will air every Saturday and Sunday at 9:30 PM on Colors Tamil.
A first of its kind show in the Tamil television space, Colors Comedy Nights is set in the backdrop of the bustling Koyambedu bus stand. Emulating the quintessential common man, Vijay, Vaiga, Tamil Arasan and Vaidhya will be indulging popular celebrities in amusing conversations about trending topics and current affairs affecting our lives. The hour-long show will be spread across four intriguing segments and will also showcase celebrity guests undertaking series of exciting tasks that will leave the viewers in splits.

The first segment of the show will be a brief introduction of the four characters who belong to our heartland. Ammukutty – owner of the tea stall, Mr. Max – an alcoholic, Poimeiyappan – an aspiring politician and Shanthanamurthy – an IT professional. This will be followed by the entry of the celebrity guests ensuing a mirthful conversation leading to quirky tasks and eccentric take-aways. The final leg of the show will be set in a courtroom wherein the characters and celebrity are to solve a case that promises nothing but rollicking fun. The channel has roped in popular actor Karthi in the very inaugural episode of the show.
