Josh wraps up the third edition of ‘World Famous’ in a Grand Finale in Jaipur

Mumbai: Josh, India’s fastest growing and most engaged short-video app wrapped up the third edition of its original IP ‘World Famous’ in a Grand Finale in Jaipur, last evening. Hosted at a private property in the city, the 3-week mega talent hunt spanning three cities, across the northwestern state of Rajasthan concluded in a star-studded Grand Finale event that witnessed India’s finest talent flaunt their best performances. With celebrity mentors – Urvashi Rautela and Karan Wahi gracing the event, Raman Acharya, UD and Roman and Friends were felicitated as the top creators of ‘World Famous’ 2022 and will now receive the opportunity to be mentored and groomed by the top creators in the industry.

World Famous is a multi-city mega talent hunt which was launched in 2021 with the aim of discovering and celebrating India’s diverse and talented youth.

The third edition of ‘World Famous’ which started its journey in Rajasthan in February headed to Jodhpur, Kota and finally concluded in Jaipur by wrapping up the hunt for India’s undiscovered local talent with the makings of a superstar.  Putting on a breathtaking show, World Famous witnessed the semi-finale participants battle it out for the chance to win up to ₹1 lakh in cash prizes and the opportunity to be mentored and groomed by the top creators in the ecosystem. Expressing their talent across different genres ranging from dance, music, comedy, fashion and acting among others, the finalists showcased their best performances, as they were cheered on by the audience and mentors.

Congratulating the winners, Seher Bedi, Head of Josh Studios said, “The past three weeks have showcased the passion, dedication, and talent that each participant has displayed. The ‘World Famous’ series was conceived as a means of creating impactful change, by encouraging people to show their talent. All the participants have showcased this spirit at the core of their creations, and we are proud to recognize their efforts. We hope to continue this journey of discovering India’s hidden talent and look at what India has to offer.”

The Grand Finale was set up to recognize the enthusiasm and talent of the creators who left no stone unturned to prove their mettle as the future stars of Josh.
