Licious highlights Durga Pujo spirit in its new festive campaign 

The third edition of its Pujo campaign celebrates Bangali’r priyo Pujo traditions with a video featuring Sohini Sarkar, Arjun Chakrabarty, Preeti Sarkar, and Unmesh Ganguly.

Bengaluru: Durga Pujo is not just a festival; it’s a celebration of food, friendship, and family cherished by Bengalis everywhere. In its third edition of the Durga Pujo campaign, Licious, a leading D2C meat and seafood brand, pays homage to these beloved traditions with an ad that encapsulates the essence of Pujo through home-cooked meals and unforgettable culinary memories.

The campaign features a vibrant ad set in a lively Pujo ‘adda’ (gathering), showcasing actor Arjun Chakrabarty, along with content creators Preeti Sarkar and Unmesh Ganguly, who are hosted for a hearty lunch by actress Sohini Sarkar. Sohini’s signature dish, kosha mangsho (mutton) made with Licious’ tender mutton, takes center stage, evoking nostalgia as her guests reminisce about their own cherished Pujo experiences.

For Unmesh, it’s the taste of Prawn Malai Curry with Basanti Pulao and Devilled Eggs that transports him back to his childhood in Bankura. Arjun shares a proud moment when his daughter first fell in love with fish fry during Pujo, while Preeti playfully engages in a friendly rivalry over Sohini’s irresistible Prawn Malai Curry, capturing the joyful banter that defines every Pujo adda. Additionally, several other Bengali content creators in food, lifestyle, and entertainment have partnered with Licious to share their own Pujo experiences featuring the brand’s seasonal offerings.

“Durga Puja is a time of togetherness, celebration, and feasting with family and friends. Our campaign is inspired by the joy of home-cooked feasts and the love of ‘adda’. We’re delighted to be a part of Pujo celebrations and especially the lives of our Bengali consumers in a way that’s close to their hearts and ours – through meat and seafood at its finest,” Arvind Ramachandran, Chief Marketing Officer, Licious, said. 

“The Bengali consumer base across India is a highly discerning one for meat and seafood and is also one of our largest. The way this consumer has embraced our offerings is a huge testament to the quality we bring to the dining table,” Ramachandran added. 

Licious’ message for meat lovers in Kolkata this Pujo is clear: “Pujor adda, bhuri bhoj, Licious er saathe hok roj” (With Licious, your gatherings and feasts can continue throughout Pujo). To enhance the festive feasting experience at home, Licious is offering a special range of Bhuribhoj must-haves, including Mangshor Jhol cuts, Mutton Shoulder Cut, and a selection of fresh fish such as Catla, Bhetki, Pabda, and Parshe. Their festive Adda starters feature ready-to-cook products, from pre-marinated kebabs to nuggets and wings.
