Betway SA20 Season 3 presents top T20 matches in India on Disney+ Hotstar, Star Sports, and Sports18

Mumbai: Cricket fans in India are in for a thrilling start to the year as Betway SA20, South Africa’s premier T20 cricket league, is set to launch its highly anticipated Season 3. Running from January 9 to February 8, 2025, this edition promises an exciting display of cricket action, featuring some of the world’s best players and rising stars. Fans can catch all 34 matches live on Disney+ Hotstar (Digital), Star Sports 2, and Sports18 2 (Linear TV).

The 2025 season kicks off with an electrifying opening match between defending champions Sunrisers Eastern Cape and MI Cape Town at the historic St. George’s Park. The grand finale will take place at Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg, one of the most celebrated cricket venues globally. Evening matches will begin at 9:00 PM IST, providing prime-time entertainment for Indian audiences, with additional weekend afternoon games (4:30 PM & 7:00 PM) catering to a broader fan base.

Graeme Smith, League Commissioner, expressed his excitement: “Betway SA20 has quickly become a fixture on the global international cricket calendar, celebrated for its competitive cricket, incredible talent pool, and innovative spirit. Bringing this experience to Indian audiences via Disney+ Hotstar, Star Sports 2, and Sports18 2 further amplifies its global appeal. We are proud of the league’s association with IPL franchises and its role in elevating the global stature of South African cricket.”

Recognized as the most prestigious franchise T20 league outside of India, Betway SA20 combines iconic venues, the hot South African summer, and the vibrancy of international cricket, along with top-tier local talent. Supported by owners of six IPL franchises, the league promises high-quality competition, innovative formats, and a commitment to nurturing grassroots cricket, making it a fan-favorite.

This season will feature six dynamic teams competing for glory, with Sunrisers Eastern Cape defending their championship title. Other teams in the competition include Durban’s Super Giants, Pretoria Capitals, Joburg Super Kings, Paarl Royals, and MI Cape Town.

Fans can look forward to performances by T20 superstars like Heinrich Klaasen, Faf du Plessis, Rashid Khan, Kagiso Rabada, and David Miller, along with emerging Proteas stars like Tristan Stubbs and Kwena Maphaka. A special highlight this season is Dinesh Karthik’s debut as the first Indian cricketer to participate in SA20, adding an exciting element for Indian fans.
