Gurugram: Air India has unveiled its latest campaign, ‘There is an Air About India’, a powerful celebration of the confident, bold, and vibrant spirit of a new India. The campaign serves as a tribute to a nation on the rise — and Air India’s pride in carrying that spirit across the globe.
Conceptualised by McCann, the campaign is a multi-platform initiative spanning OOH, print, and digital, anchored by a visually rich and rhythmically compelling film. The centerpiece of the film features a rap-style track composed by renowned music director Sneha Khanwalkar, with vocals by emerging rap artist Aarya Jadhao.
Blending poetic rhythm with sweeping transitions and striking visuals, the film brings alive the diverse and energetic soul of India — from its remote heartlands and bustling metros to its timeless traditions and modern aspirations. The campaign culminates in the refrain: “There is an Air About India” — and Air India is proud to carry it around the world.
Following its return to the Tata Group in 2022, Air India has embarked on a five-year transformation journey under the Vihaan.AI program. With the aim of becoming a world-class global airline that mirrors the energy of the new India, the airline has:
- Ordered 570 new aircraft
- Launched a $400 million retrofit program for its legacy fleet
- Established South Asia’s largest aviation training academy
- Initiated plans for a state-of-the-art MRO facility and flying school
India, now one of the world’s fastest-growing aviation markets, saw over 350 million air travelers last year and has doubled its number of airports in the past decade. Air India’s ongoing transformation represents its commitment to not just keep pace, but lead this change — both in the skies and on the ground.
With ‘There is an Air About India’, Air India encapsulates this journey — combining tradition and modernity, legacy and aspiration — in a campaign that’s as ambitious as the nation it represents.
