Mumbai: Sleepyhead, the contemporary furniture and sleep solutions brand from the Duroflex Group, has launched a bold and expressive Pride Month campaign titled ‘Straight Isn’t the Default’, celebrating design, identity, and self-expression. At the heart of this campaign is the Limited Edition Sleepyhead Pride Sofa, created as a statement piece for those who live with pride, comfort, and authenticity.
In a world often defined by rigid norms, Sleepyhead’s campaign redefines comfort through a vibrant celebration of individuality. “Challenging the status quo, this campaign is our bold declaration that straight isn’t the default—in design, in life, in comfort,” said Ullas Vijay, Chief Marketing Officer, Duroflex Group. “As long-standing allies of the LGBTQIA+ community, we wanted to create something that celebrates the individuality, expression, and joy that Pride represents. Our Limited Edition Pride Sofa embodies our belief that comfort should always be personal. And in design, just like in life, it doesn’t have to be linear.”
As a creative extension of this philosophy, Sleepyhead has tilted its entire website interface, making product visuals and navigation elements appear slightly askew—an intentional design decision that reinforces the campaign’s core message that life and comfort don’t have to be straight-lined or conventional.
Taking the message to the streets, Sleepyhead has also rolled out a striking Out-of-Home (OOH) campaign in Bengaluru, with immersive bus shelter installations featuring the Pride Sofa across key neighbourhoods including Koramangala, Marathahalli, and Banaswadi. The vibrant visuals are designed to engage passersby and spark meaningful conversations around inclusion, self-expression, and non-conformity.
The Sleepyhead Pride Sofa—a symbol of design-forward inclusivity and unapologetic self-expression—is available in limited quantities at MySleepyhead.com and in select Sleepyhead stores.
