Mumbai: In a strategic move to deepen advertiser engagement in one of its key markets, BBC Studios Asia has announced a new partnership with Mediascope, appointing them to serve as the commercial representative for the BBC’s ad sales business across India.
Backed by over 45 years of media experience and robust local market expertise, Mediascope will now enable Indian advertisers to connect with the BBC’s extensive audience base—both within India and globally. The partnership opens doors for brands to tap into the BBC’s premium multi-platform offerings, spanning linear television, digital, audio, social media, and connected TV platforms.
BBC Studios provides commercial opportunities to advertisers across its international network. These campaigns are amplified by BBC StoryWorks, its award-winning branded content division that crafts compelling narratives for brands around the world—reaching audiences outside the UK through powerful and trusted storytelling.

John Williams, VP Asia Ad Sales, BBC Studios, stated, “We are happy to begin working with Mediascope in India, a country that has continued importance for BBC Studios Asia. It is the BBC’s DNA that drives our future and attracts large and valued audiences. We are in a privileged position to work with Mediascope to offer bespoke TV and digital solutions for commercial clients.”

Adding to the announcement, Marzban Patel, CEO and Founder, Mediascope, said, “The BBC has extensive coverage across India in three powerful languages: Hindi, Tamil and English. It reaches a vast audience with reporting that is both local in relevance and global in impact. This partnership gives Indian advertisers a rare opportunity to connect with a multilingual, influential audience at scale.”
