New Delhi: Komerz India has announced the appointment of Amarendra Singh as its Chief Marketing Officer. With a robust two-decade-long track record in launching, scaling, and repositioning brands across diverse sectors, Amarendra joins Komerz at a critical juncture as it accelerates expansion across one of the world’s fastest-growing digital economies.
Komerz entered India earlier this year with a vision to create a full-funnel, creator-powered commerce engine tailored to local needs. With the D2C ecosystem booming, a thriving creator economy, and increasing digitization of small businesses, India presents a high-growth strategic opportunity.
“Scaling Komerz in India will take both precision and poetry. On one hand, we’ll engineer demand through smart, sharp storytelling; on the other, we’ll build trust with transparency and outcomes that speak louder than campaigns,” said Amarendra Singh, CMO, Komerz India.
Amarendra brings with him a rich legacy of marketing innovation. From working under industry legend Preeti Vyas to holding leadership roles at FCB ULKA, Grey Worldwide, and Creativeland Asia, he has collaborated with over 50 brands across tech, FMCG, auto, BFSI, fashion, and healthcare. As founder of his own creative venture, Infamous People, he played a pivotal role in major brand transitions—helping Dell regain market leadership, navigating Wockhardt’s transformation into Fortis, and driving pitch wins for marquee clients like Uniqlo, Shoppers Stop, Discovery, and Dell.
In his new role, Amarendra will lead Komerz India’s brand strategy, narrative architecture, and go-to-market execution. His approach centers on proof-first marketing, ensuring that storytelling is anchored in measurable outcomes that benefit both brands and their communities.
“Komerz felt like both a culmination and a clean slate — a rare opportunity to shape something new and necessary. My focus is to create momentum with meaning. Every story we tell must drive value — for brands, creators, and the communities they serve,” he added.
Over the next 6–12 months, Komerz India aims to move from stealth to story, rolling out high-impact case studies, forging strategic partnerships, and activating community-powered campaigns. Distinct from traditional platforms that lead with performance marketing, Komerz flips the funnel — beginning instead with creator partnerships, shared incentives, and a seamless integration of discovery, conversion, and community.
With Amarendra at the helm of marketing, Komerz India is poised to redefine digital commerce by placing authentic storytelling, trust, and community at the center of business growth.
