Gameskraft aligns with new gaming bill, prioritises compliance and future readiness

Bengaluru: Gameskraft has reaffirmed its commitment to full compliance with the recently enacted Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill, 2025, which prohibits all real-money games—whether skill-based or chance-based—signaling a major shift for India’s online gaming industry.

Talking about the development, Gameskraft’s company spokesperson stated, “In light of the recently passed Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill, 2025, Gameskraft has stopped all ‘Gameplay’ and ‘Add Cash’ services across its Rummy platforms as of 21st August 2025 ahead of the Bill’s official notification. The withdrawal services continue to remain available in accordance with platform policies. We want to reassure our users that all account balances remain safe. We are working closely with our financial partners to ensure a smooth and seamless withdrawal process.”

The company clarified that it will not be challenging the legislation. “As a responsible and law-abiding corporate entity, Gameskraft has no intention of pursuing any legal challenge to the legislation. We fully respect the legislative process and remain committed to operating within the framework of the law.”

Looking ahead, the company emphasized its focus on future strategies that align with the evolving regulatory framework. The spokesperson added, “We have already initiated structured internal discussions to chart the road ahead. Guided by our core values and full compliance with the new bill, Gameskraft remains committed to constructive dialogue with policymakers and stakeholders, responsible innovation, player protection, and regulatory alignment. Our cross-functional teams are actively exploring new opportunities and future-ready solutions that align with the evolving legal landscape to unlock the full potential of India’s digital gaming economy.”

The company also highlighted its ongoing measures to ensure business continuity during this transition, working closely with auditors, banking partners, and legal advisors. Gameskraft has cleared all regulatory dues and proactively taken steps to safeguard employees, partners, vendors, and service providers, ensuring transparent communication across stakeholder groups.

“Compliance has always been non-negotiable for us. While this moment brings challenges, it also brings the opportunity to reimagine what’s next – responsibly, lawfully, and in the interest of long-term value creation for all stakeholders,” the statement concluded.
