Mumbai: Zee Media has filed a First Information Report (FIR) against Ashish Dave, former Channel Head of Zee Rajasthan, following grave allegations of financial misconduct. The move comes after an internal review prompted by multiple complaints, leading to Dave’s immediate exit from the organization.
According to the complaints, Dave allegedly misused the Zee Rajasthan brand to extort money from businessmen and industrialists while manipulating the channel’s freelance reporter network to misappropriate funds. These actions, the company stated, compromised the trust and credibility that Zee Media has upheld for decades.
The FIR, lodged in Jaipur, includes charges of blackmail and extortion. Zee Media’s senior leadership emphasized that the action underscores its zero-tolerance policy towards corruption and unethical behavior.
As investigations proceed, Zee Media remains steadfast in upholding the highest standards of ethical journalism. This sends a clear message: integrity, transparency, and accountability are non-negotiable values at Zee Media, and no individual is above them.
