Mumbai: Minute Media, a global technology and sports content company, has announced the acquisition of VideoVerse, further strengthening its position as a 360-degree solution provider for rightsholders, leagues, teams, publishers, and marketers. The deal follows a series of robust sports technology and content additions made by Minute Media over the past year.
VideoVerse’s flagship product, Magnifi, is an AI-driven SaaS platform that enables content owners and rights holders to automatically detect key moments, create highlights in real time, and distribute compelling short-form video content efficiently. Among its clients are FIFA+, Indian Super League, Pro Panja League, Willow TV, Portuguese Football Federation, and TV2.
The acquisition will allow Minute Media to deliver unmatched value to the sports content ecosystem. With this integration, existing Magnifi clients can now seamlessly access Minute Media’s distribution and monetization solutions, maximizing ROI on video assets while expanding global reach.
In today’s fast-paced sports environment, Magnifi leverages computer vision, natural language processing, and machine learning to analyze visual and audio cues, identify highlights, and enhance content for fans in real time. It also integrates GenAI features such as multilingual subtitling, automatic thumbnail and metadata generation, and a dynamic rules-based engine for end-to-end automation — creating a one-stop editorial workspace for content teams.
Commenting on the acquisition, Asaf Peled, Founder and CEO of Minute Media, said, “We are thrilled to bring the passionate teams and robust capabilities of VideoVerse into the Minute Media family to bring teams and leagues a full-stack solution from creation to distribution to monetization. In addition, with VideoVerse’s technologies, Minute Media’s owned & operated brands, partners, and clients will experience and have the very best in AI-powered creation.”
VideoVerse’s advanced technology will drive enhancements across Minute Media’s global ecosystem — strengthening the STN Video platform for leagues and publishing partners, while enabling innovative new formats for flagship brands such as Sports Illustrated and The Players’ Tribune.
