New York: GCI Health, a leading global health impact agency, has announced the appointment of Ravi Moorthy as Managing Director, Global Corporate Lead. In this role, Moorthy will strengthen and expand the agency’s corporate communications practice, integrating it further with GCI Health’s creative, digital, data, media, policy, and strategic offerings.
Moorthy brings a wealth of corporate communications experience from senior in-house and agency positions across the U.S., Europe, and the Middle East, spanning healthcare, technology, financial services, and professional services sectors.
“There has never been a more pivotal time for healthcare organizations to elevate their corporate reputation, shape executive visibility and engage employees in meaningful ways,” said Kristin Cahill, Global CEO, GCI Health. “Ravi brings global and cross-sector experience in shaping corporate communications that our clients need to create impact in today’s complex environment.”
Before joining GCI Health, Moorthy served as Vice President, Head of Communications at Scorpion Therapeutics, an AI-powered biotechnology company. His prior roles include Managing Director, Corporate and Public Affairs at Edelman, where he helped grow the Bay Area team and led communications for several multinational companies, and a leadership role at Mubadala, the sovereign investment company in the UAE, where he designed and implemented reputation management and communications strategies across local and international markets.
“The opportunity for strategic communications counselors to protect and promote their client’s corporate reputations and clearly demonstrate value to all stakeholders has never been greater,” said Moorthy. “It’s an exciting time to be working in the ever-broadening healthcare ecosystem, and there’s no better place to do that than GCI Health, with its strong brand, impressive client roster and deep professional expertise. I’m keen to partner with the team and expand on the excellent work already underway and continue building this iconic healthcare agency.”
The appointment follows GCI Health’s refreshed brand identity, which positions the agency as a health impact leader supporting clients in shaping the future of healthcare. This move also aligns with WPP’s broader growth momentum, following significant new business wins and expanded remits with brands such as Mastercard, Electronic Arts, and Heineken, powered by its proprietary AI marketing platform, WPP Open.
