The World Creative Rankings 2025 has once again placed Serviceplan Group’s Shruthi Subramanian at the top of the global copywriting charts, cementing her reputation as one of the industry’s brightest creative forces. This marks her second consecutive year as the world’s most-awarded copywriter.
Subramanian’s prolific output set her apart, with six campaigns among the world’s most-celebrated creative projects. Notably, she co-authored 855-How-To-Quit-(Opioids) for Anzen Health, ranked as the seventh most-awarded campaign globally. Her colleague Javier Granados, also from Serviceplan Munich, claimed second place with four major projects—a remarkable leap from being unranked last year.
The top five reflects the global spread of creative excellence. Pieter Claeys of FCB New York ranked third, thanks to Dreamcaster for Michelob—the single most-awarded campaign of 2025. Taro Taniwaki from Tokyo-based Hakuhodo secured fourth spot, while Antonin Jacquot of Marcel Paris rounded out the list with Women’s Football for Orange, the world’s second-highest ranking campaign.
Beyond the rankings, Subramanian’s career journey underscores her blend of technical depth and creative flair. An Information Technology graduate, she sharpened her creative skills at Miami Ad School, Berlin before joining Serviceplan Innovation in Munich. There, she contributed to socially impactful projects such as Dot Go, an app for the visually impaired that won a Cannes Lion, and Freedom Grams, created with AROYA and the Last Prisoner Project to raise awareness about cannabis incarceration.
Creativity also runs in her family. Her father, Subramanian Padmanabhan (Subbu), is a seasoned advertising leader who has helmed agencies like Flame Advertising and OTS Advertising. With her engineering roots, global training, and advertising lineage, Shruthi combines purpose-driven storytelling with cutting-edge innovation, making her one of the most influential voices in today’s creative industry.
The World Creative Rankings, compiled annually by The Drum, analyze the performance of thousands of campaigns across 24 leading global award programs. This year’s list not only reaffirms Subramanian’s leadership but also highlights the rise of new creative stars across continents—underlining the dynamism and diversity driving modern advertising.
