Mumbai: Django, the next-generation creative agency, has won the creative digital mandate for Khukri Rum, Nepal’s most iconic and globally celebrated spirit, as the brand prepares to strengthen its foothold in the Indian market.
With over six decades of craftsmanship, Khukri Rum stands as a proud symbol of Nepal’s heritage—renowned for its smooth blends and distinct Himalayan character. Exported to more than 12 countries, the brand has earned global acclaim for its award-winning quality. With India emerging as one of the most dynamic and competitive spirits markets, the partnership signals a major step in Khukri’s regional growth journey.
As Khukri’s creative partner, Django will lead the brand’s digital communication strategy in India—covering digital storytelling, social media management, influencer collaborations, and content innovation. The mandate also includes building brand visibility and resonance among India’s new generation of rum enthusiasts.

Speaking on the win, Aashay Shah, Co-founder at Django, said, “It’s not every day that you get to work with a brand that has a legacy of over 60 years. Khukri has been celebrated around the world, and with its entry into India earlier this year, it’s finally time for India to experience the legacy. We’re excited to be part of that journey and bring that story to life for a new generation of rum drinkers in the country.”
Harsh Sinha, Country Director – India, MCKT Beverages Pvt. Ltd., added, “We are thrilled to partner with Django as we begin this exciting new chapter in India. Khukri has always stood for authenticity, craftsmanship, and a deep sense of pride — values that align with Django’s creative spirit. Together, we aim to bring alive the essence of the Himalayas for Indian audiences and celebrate a rum that carries six decades of legacy in every drop.”
This collaboration marks a significant milestone for both Khukri Rum and Django, combining heritage and innovation to introduce Indian consumers to the true spirit of the Himalayas.
