Mumbai: Kuku unveiled India’s first slate of AI-generated microdramas at the India AI Impact Summit 2026, marking its formal entry into large-scale AI-powered microdrama production. The launch took place at the WAVES Creators Corner during the summit.
The newly introduced slate spans mytho-inspired storytelling, futuristic fiction and superhero narratives rooted in Indian themes while designed for global audiences. The move reflects Kuku’s strategy of combining culturally resonant storytelling with AI-enabled production systems aimed at enhancing speed, scale, quality and personalisation.

“We are delighted to introduce our slate of AI-generated microdramas, marking a significant step in our commitment to putting audiences at the centre of everything we do. By leveraging AI as a creative enabler, we are empowering creators to enhance storytelling, improve production agility and deliver more personalised experiences,” said Lal Chand Bisu, CEO, Kuku.
Speaking at the summit, Bisu emphasised that India has a significant opportunity to lead the development of AI-native consumer platforms. He noted that Kuku has already empowered over 50,000 creators across Bharat and is deploying AI tools to lower production barriers while improving output quality and creative consistency.
The company currently releases hundreds of shows each month and is building capabilities to scale production to over 1,000 high-quality, deeply personalised shows per month in the coming years.
Addressing perceptions around monetisation, Bisu also challenged the long-held belief that Indian consumers are reluctant to pay for premium content at scale. He stated that Kuku’s growth trajectory reflects robust demand for differentiated, mobile-first storytelling experiences. The company has expanded beyond Hindi into multiple Indian languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Bengali, strengthening its vernacular presence to cater to a wider Bharat audience.
Alongside the slate launch, Kuku set up an AI-powered Microdrama Experience zone at the summit to demonstrate its AI storytelling stack. The showcase enabled participants to convert simple story ideas into structured screenplays, generate cinematic poster assets, integrate themselves into scenes using AI-assisted production tools and explore natural-language content discovery.
The live demonstrations highlighted how Kuku is building AI-native entertainment infrastructure across the entire value chain—from pitch to production to promotion—integrating content intelligence, personalisation and distribution systems into a unified workflow.
With a large creator ecosystem, a technology-led operating model and an expanding vernacular footprint, Kuku is positioning itself as a key player in India’s AI-driven content economy and an emerging global contender in AI-powered entertainment.
