Mumbai: Bennett Coleman & Co. Ltd. (BCCL) has appointed media and luxury publishing veteran Nonita Kalra as Chief Creative Officer – Luxury, Fashion & Lifestyle, strengthening its leadership in the premium content and experiential space.
In her new role, Kalra will shape BCCL’s creative vision across its luxury, fashion, lifestyle and culture portfolio. She will be responsible for conceptualising and expanding intellectual properties across brands including The Times of India (TOI), The Times Internet Media Services (TIMS), Optimal Media Solutions (OMS), 1838 and other associated platforms.
Her mandate also includes developing marquee events, awards, festivals, exhibitions and community-led initiatives spanning print, digital and on-ground experiences. In addition, she will forge strategic collaborations with luxury brands, cultural institutions and creators while working closely with Editorial, OMS, Times Experiences, Brand and Commercial teams to drive integrated creative initiatives.
Kalra brings more than 30 years of experience across luxury publishing, fashion, lifestyle media, brand storytelling and cultural programming. She joins BCCL after serving as Editor-in-Chief at Tata CLiQ Luxury.
A History (Honours) graduate from St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi, Kalra began her journalism career at India Today before taking on leadership roles at The Independent, The Indian Express, ELLE India and Harper’s Bazaar India, where she played a pivotal role in shaping premium lifestyle and fashion content in the country.
With Kalra’s appointment, BCCL aims to further strengthen its presence in the luxury and lifestyle ecosystem by building high-impact content franchises and experiences that engage audiences across multiple platforms.
