Mumbai: Accor, a global leader in hospitality, has announced the appointment of Ranju Alex as Chief Executive Officer for South Asia, covering India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. In her new role, Ranju will spearhead the Group’s business operations and growth strategy across the region.
Accor currently operates over 70 hotels in South Asia, with more than 30 properties in the pipeline, reinforcing its commitment to the region’s dynamic hospitality market.
Ranju Alex is an accomplished hospitality leader with over three decades of experience. Until recently, she served as Regional Vice President for South Asia at Marriott International, where she successfully oversaw the operations of over 170 hotels. Beginning her career with The Oberoi Group in 1993, Ranju has held several senior leadership positions during her tenure at Marriott International. Her contribution to the sector has been widely recognized, including the prestigious Bharat Gaurav Award for her achievements in the industry.
Earlier this year, Accor and InterGlobe announced the creation of a joint venture to consolidate all their businesses into a single entity, subject to regulatory approvals.
