Mumbai: L’Oréal Paris has launched the latest chapter of its global Lessons of Worth series with a compelling new digital film featuring long-standing brand ambassador Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Continuing the brand’s 50-year legacy of championing self-worth, the campaign once again highlights its iconic tagline: Because I’m worth it.
In the film, Aishwarya reflects on the growing influence of social media and its impact on how individuals perceive their value. She cautions against letting likes, comments, and online validation define personal worth, urging viewers to shift focus inward. Her message is clear: true worth comes from conviction within — to look inward, voice it, and believe that they are worth it.
The Lessons of Worth series underscores L’Oréal Paris’s commitment to addressing the evolving challenges women face in the digital era. By spotlighting authentic voices of its ambassadors, the campaign explores themes of resilience, individuality, and self-confidence, while challenging restrictive beauty standards and narrow definitions of success.
“Today, a large percentage of Indian women’s self-worth is negatively impacted by social media. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s powerful edition of the iconic ‘Lessons of Worth’ series addresses this issue,” said Dario Zizzi, General Manager, L’Oréal Paris India. “In her testimonial, she calls upon all Indian women to believe in their self-worth regardless of the pressures of social media and social validation. This campaign is a powerful step in our constant endeavour to partner with Indian women on their journey of self-worth.”
L’Oréal Paris has amplified the campaign globally by enlisting the voices of its ambassadors. Over the years, stars such as Viola Davis, Kate Winslet, Liya Kebede, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Camila Cabello, Yseult, Leila Bekhti, Bebe Vio, Nidhi Sunil, Helen Mirren, Jane Fonda, Eva Longoria, and Andie MacDowell have shared what Because You’re Worth It means to them, inspiring women worldwide to embrace their confidence and inner value.
Prasoon Joshi, Chairman McCann Worldgroup APAC, CEO & Chief Creative Officer, McCann Worldgroup India, shared: “In an era dominated by fleeting digital validation, this campaign is a vital reminder that true self-worth is not measured by likes or comments, but by the strength, courage, and authenticity within. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, with her grace and voice, beautifully carries this message forward. It’s a narrative that young people need now more than ever.”
