Amar Ujala strengthens Eastern UP with 26.48% growth

New Delhi: Amar Ujala has yet again reinforced its leadership in Eastern Uttar Pradesh growing by 26.48% from ABC JJ 2015 to ABC JJ 2016, as per the certificate issued by Audit Bureau of Circulation January – June 2016 (11.87 lac copies as per ABC JJ 16 over 9.39 lac copies as per ABC in JJ 2015, including variant).

Recording a significant growth Amar Ujala has captured Lucknow city three times in a row.  Lucknow has been our top priority market and the growth in this market is a result of high-octane engagement at ground level, product innovations, and Amar Ujala’s strong glocal packaging of news and analysis. By sustaining its number one position three times in a row in Lucknow city, as per the certificate issued by Audit Bureau of Circulation January to June 2016 with a certified circulation of 2,04,745 copies (no variant) and is ahead of Dainik Jagran (certified circulation is 1,71,026 copies, ABC JJ 2016), and owns 59% of those who subscribe to Amar Ujala belong to SEC A & B, in Lucknow city (source: study done by Hansa Research in November 2016). This win re-emphasizes the fact of growing high-value subscription base in key areas of the city.

The same has been echoed in the key cities Western & Eastern Uttar Pradesh, like Agra (84,523 copies, including 11,571 variant), Allahabad (1,00,592, including 50,594 variant), Bareilly (62,897, including 4,589 variant), Moradabad (47,586), Kanpur (1,49,971, including 71,785 variant) and Varanasi (99,977, including 40,917 variant) as certified by Audit Bureau of Circulations January – June 2016. Amar Ujala is sweeping across Eastern and Western Uttar Pradesh.

Over and above the stupendous growth in Lucknow city, Amar Ujala captures Allahabad city third time in a row, as per the certificate issued by Audit Bureau of Circulation January to June 2016, with a certified circulation of 1,00,592 copies (including 50,594 variant) and is ahead of Dainik Jagran (certified circulation is 75,470 copies, ABC JJ 2016).

In the city of Kanpur, Amar Ujala has emerged as a very strong No 2 publication with a certified circulation of 1,49,971 copies ABC JJ 2016 (including 71,785 variant) compared to Dainik Jagran (certified circulation is 1,51,319 copies ABC JJ 2016) and owns 42% of those who subscribe to Amar Ujala belong to SEC A & B, in Kanpur city (source: study done by Hansa Research in November 2016).

All this has been a reflection of Amar Ujala upholding its position as the top Hindi publication across Uttar Pradesh and Uttrakhand. Holding a major chunk of market share (29.38 lac copies as per ABC JJ 2016, including variant) in the biggest Hindi Speaking market, the journey has been about innovation and progressive thinking.
