Amazon Prime Video presents GangStars, a quirky tale full of comedy, launching on June 1, 2018

Hyderabad: Amazon Prime Video today launched its first Telugu Prime Exclusive series in India, GangStars. Produced by Silly Monks Entertainment and Early Monsoon Tales (A web division of Vyjayanthi Movies); the series brings together some of the best talent from Tollywood. Starting June 1, 2018, GangStars will be available in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. The series stars Telugu superstar Jagapati Babu along with seasoned actors like Navdeep, Shweta Basu Prasad, Sidhu Jonnalagadda, Apoorva Arora, Posani Krishna Murali and Sivaji. The 12 episode binge-watch series,GangStars, brings together the cinematic experience of a film, with the quintessential Telugu style of movie-making. The Amazon Prime Video Exclusive will be available on the service starting 1st of June, 2018.
With overtones of comedy, this fast-paced series promises great performances by a talented cast. A Gangster, a Superstar, a Diva, a Newbie Producer, a Struggling Director and a Blockbuster Producer – all come together in this laugh riot titled GangStars. This comedy caper is set in the film industry backdrop and involves two movie stars, two ex-lovers, and one gangster. How one incident sets up a chain of events in motion and interconnects the lives of all these characters, interspersed with a murder is the intriguing crux of the narrative.

GangStars Series Synopsis
Krishna Das is a notorious gangster in Hyderabad who is well known for his criminal activities. He once threatens to kill a lab technician who owes him money. This one act sets a chain of events in motion that hit back at him. Ajay is a youngster who dreams of making it at as a filmmaker and has so far been unsuccessful in getting a foothold into the industry. Keerthi is the niece of a film star’s manager and is star struck with the film industry. Coincidently, Keerthi and Ajay end up getting an opportunity to become managers to two of the hottest young stars in the industry – Vishwa and Aishwarya. Meanwhile Das takes the help of a Film producer, Pala Subrahmaniam, to launder his money by investing it in a film that stars Vishwa and Aishwarya. With ups and downs coming their way, will they be able to complete the film and will Das realize the truth of his medical condition?
