Mumbai: Anand Punmiya, the Head of Distribution Audit and Risk at Star India Network has moved on to join Price Water House Coopers as the Managing Director – Risk Assurance for Media & Entertainment sector.
His new assignment with PwC is effective from December 2018.
Anand Punmiya is a Senior experienced professional with extensive experience of over 16 years in the domains of Internal Audit, Investigation, Risk Management, Compliance, Strategy, Finance, Project Management, Project Management & Corporate Governance. He is a dynamic personality with knowledge across various process, sectors, and departments.
During his four years of tenure with in Star Network, Anand was the Vice President & Group Head Internal Audit, Investigation and Compliance for entire PAN India and APAC region for distribution business.
He actively participated in the preparation of Industry wide audit manual for under the initiative of industry regulatory authority – TRAI. He also interacted with other regulatory bodies TDSAT, Company Law Board and CBI.
In his career spanning more than 15 years, Anand was associated with KPMG, JP Morgan Chase & Co., EY, Essar, L&T etc.
