Anil Jayaraj named President of Jio Home Digital Services

Mumbai: Anil Jayaraj has joined Jio Home Digital Services as its President effective September 2024. He will be reporting to Pankaj Pawar, Director of Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd. This strategic move follows Jayaraj’s tenure as CEO of Viacom18 Sports, a role he held until June 2024, where he significantly expanded the company’s sports business across television and digital platforms.

During his time at Viacom18, Jayaraj played a pivotal role in securing key sports broadcasting rights, including the Indian Premier League (IPL), BCCI media rights, Women’s Premier League (WPL), and the upcoming 2024 Olympics. His leadership positioned Viacom18 as a formidable player in the sports media landscape.

Before joining Viacom18, Jayaraj was responsible for ad sales at Disney Star’s Star Sports, where he developed revenue strategies for seven IPL seasons. With nearly 27 years of experience, he has also held senior marketing roles at renowned companies such as Pidilite Industries, BP – Marine & Energy Lubricants, and Castrol.

Jayaraj’s extensive background in sports media and marketing is expected to bolster Jio Home Digital Services as it continues to innovate and expand in the digital space
