Mumbai: Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Ankur Shrivastava as Associate Vice President, a move aimed at sharpening the network’s revenue strategy in key regional markets.
In his new role, Shrivastava will oversee revenue planning and execution for the South region across Hindi general entertainment channels (GECs). His mandate includes driving advertising sales, expanding the deal pipeline, and unlocking monetisation opportunities in collaboration with advertisers, media agencies, and strategic partners.
A key focus of his responsibilities will be the development and execution of region-specific business plans aligned with SPNI’s national objectives. This will cover market entry strategies, pricing frameworks, inventory management, and revenue targets. He will also work closely with senior stakeholders to deepen relationships with leading agencies and marquee advertisers, positioning Sony as a preferred network for brand investments.
Shrivastava brings over 13 years of experience in business development and strategic partnerships within the media and entertainment industry. Prior to joining SPNI, he served as Director, LCS at JioStar. Earlier in his career, he spent nearly seven years at Viacom18 Media Private Limited, where he last held the position of Director.
His professional journey also includes stints with Star TV Network, Reliance Broadcast Network Ltd (92.7 BIG FM), and UBM India Pvt Ltd, giving him a broad perspective across television, radio, and media platforms.
