Mumbai: Larsen and Toubro (L&T) has appointed seasoned technology leader Anupam Sengupta to a senior role within its LTM division, as the company steps up its ambitions in the communications, media and technology (CME) space.
In his new capacity, Sengupta will lead strategy and global business development, with a clear mandate to accelerate consulting-led growth, refine global go-to-market approaches, and build strong deep-tech partnerships—particularly in the rapidly evolving AI ecosystem.
His appointment comes at a time when L&T is sharpening its focus on digital and media technology services, amid growing convergence between AI, streaming, and content platforms. The move underscores the company’s intent to scale its presence in a sector increasingly defined by innovation, speed, and strategic alliances.
Sengupta brings over two decades of leadership experience spanning AI infrastructure, SaaS, consumer technology, and media. He is widely regarded for driving high-impact deals, forging strategic partnerships, and delivering large-scale digital transformation initiatives across global organizations.
Prior to joining L&T, Sengupta was Business Head for SAARC and Southeast Asia at Camb.ai, a deep-tech AI company. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in building the company’s footprint across emerging markets, establishing regional operations, accelerating the adoption of voice AI solutions, and securing marquee enterprise partnerships.
He had joined Camb.ai in April 2025 with the mandate to expand its presence across the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia, contributing to the company’s next phase of growth.
Earlier in his career, Sengupta held leadership roles at immerso.ai and Eros Innovation, where he worked at the intersection of streaming, gaming, and enterprise AI applications. He also spent over a decade with Sony Group, leading digital sales and partnerships across South Asia while managing large P&L portfolios.
His professional journey further includes stints at WPP Group, Zee Group, and Standard Chartered Bank, giving him a rare cross-sector perspective across both media and non-media industries.
Known for scaling new business lines and navigating complex enterprise environments, Sengupta has extensive experience in enterprise SaaS sales, strategic alliances, and managing large deal cycles across global markets.
With Sengupta now steering strategy and global growth initiatives, L&T is poised to deepen its play in the fast-evolving media tech landscape, leveraging AI-led transformation and high-value partnerships as key growth drivers.
