Bengaluru: Vijayavani, Karnataka’s leading daily newspaper, has announced the elevation of Arun Karadi to the role of Senior Vice President, recognizing his significant contributions to the brand’s growth and leadership in the state’s media landscape.
With a distinguished career spanning over 24 years in media sales and management, Arun Karadi brings deep industry knowledge and a track record of performance-driven leadership. Since joining Vijayavani in 2014, he has played a pivotal role in steering the publication to the top, helping establish it as Karnataka’s No. 1 newspaper.
Arun’s career began at Vijaya Karnataka, followed by a stint with the VRL Group, and later at The Times of India, where he honed his skills in sales strategy and brand development. His expertise lies in building high-performing teams, driving advertiser engagement, and fostering reader-connect initiatives that blend editorial integrity with market-driven thinking.
Speaking on the qualities that define success in the print media industry, Arun noted that effective leadership is a balance between editorial vision and commercial strategy. “It’s about understanding reader behaviour, aligning with advertiser needs, and constantly innovating—while still respecting the tradition and credibility that newspapers represent,” he said. He also emphasized the importance of team collaboration, trust, and long-term sustainability in an increasingly dynamic media environment.
Expressing his gratitude on the occasion, Arun credited his professional journey to the support and mentorship of Dr. Anand Sankeshwar, Managing Director of Vijayavani. “His trust and encouragement have shaped not just my personal growth, but also the journey of Vijayavani as a media brand. His leadership continues to inspire us to aim higher,” Arun remarked.
With this promotion, Arun Karadi is set to further his mission of consolidating Vijayavani’s leadership position and expanding its role as a trusted voice for the people of Karnataka.
