Trivandrum : Star Network’s Malayalam GEC Asianet is all set and geared up to celebrate Christmas by bolstering its movie line up with premiere of blockbuster hits. Adding up to the mood of festive season, the channel has announced premiers of movies like sports drama film Captain, Kalidas Jayaram starrer Poomaram, Malayalam dubbed version of the superstar flick Kaala, Suraj Venjaramoodu starrer Kuttanpillayude Sivarathri and mega hit movie Aravindante Athidhikal.
Adding joy and cheer this festive season, Asianet brings to its viewers exciting blockbuster premieres that will make this Christmas even more special and yet another reason for every Malayali to celebrate.
The sports drama movie Captain is the biopic of former captain of the Indian national football team V. P. Sathya, starring Jayasurya and Anu Sithara in the pivotal roles. The satellite rights of the movie is jointly heldby Asianet and Kairali TV.
The network’s Tamil GEC Star Vijay, premiered recently the mega hit movie, Kaala starring Superstar Rajnikanth. Asianet will now be premiering the dubbed Malayalam version of the movie as it Christamas special. Released in the month of June this year, the plot of the film revolves around the lives Tamil migrants who stay in a small place of Dharavi in Mumbai. The hurdles they face while protesting for their rights forms the rest of the story.
Released in the month of March this year, Kalidas Jayaram starrer Poomaram is a very heart warming musical drama which captivates the emotions of the youth by beautifully taking us down the memory lane. Aravindante Athidhikal is yet another premiere the channels has lined up for the Christmas season. The story of Aravindante Athidhikal develops at the premises surrounding Mookambika temple. A 5 year old kid Aravindan was abandoned by his mother on a Navarathri day of the year 1996 at Mookambika Lakshmi Devi’s Sanctum. He is taken care by hotelier Madhavan. while he is also keenly longing for his mother and have not viewed the deity once since his mother left him.
Directed by Jean Markose Kuttanpillayude Sivarathri is a comedy drama film that will keep the viewers of Asianet entertained, with laughter and happiness.
The Christmas blockbuster movies premieres will be telecasted in Asianet and its HD channel, however the date and time of the special movie premieres are yet to be confirmed by the channel.
