Trivandrum: Mohanlal starrer Blockbuster Mass hit movie Pulimurugan has managed to create an impressive mark in Malayalam Television premier too, which was akin to the movie’s theatrical performance.
“Pulimurugan”broke TV rating records and has become the most watched movie ever broadcast on Malayalam television. The movie managed to attracted mass viewership. In Kerala total market the show scored 29 points among BARC Rat%, 14th April 2017 19.00-22.40 hrs with a GE viewership share of 85%.
During the Vishu week Asianet commanded the charts with 1132 points, Mazhavil Manorama stood at second position with 361 points. Surya TV scored 246 pointsin 3rd positions and Flowers TV delivered 210 points at 4th position among Malayalam GECs.
Other channels in the chart include Surya Movies – 179, Kairali TV – 169, Asianet Movies – 164, Asianet Plus – 107 and Amritha TV – 65 points.
Apparently, Pulimurugan was the very first Malayalam movie to collect above 100 crore revenue and movie managed to kept Keralites glued to their television sets for the entire duration of the show on the auspicious day of Vishu resulting a new record in Malayalam television history.
Mohanlal playing the role of murukan, a wild hunter along with Kamalini Mukherjee playing the role of Muruguan’s wife Myna and Telugu star Jagapati Babu play the main villain role as Daddy Girija.The film was directed by Vysakh.
