BabyMD launches #BooTheFlu campaign to turn vaccine visits into joyful journeys

Bengaluru: BabyMD, India’s first omnichannel pediatric healthcare brand, has launched a unique monsoon campaign titled #BooTheFlu — a first-of-its-kind, joyride-based flu vaccination initiative aimed at transforming the way children experience healthcare.

Based in Bengaluru and incubated by 2070 Health, BabyMD is reimagining pediatric care by combining clinical excellence with empathy and convenience. With the #BooTheFlu campaign, the brand is encouraging timely flu immunization for children during the monsoon season by making the experience fun, engaging, and stress-free for both kids and parents.

“We’ve always believed pediatric care should be more than a checklist — it should be emotionally intelligent, joyful, and built around the real needs of both children and parents,” said Deeksha Senguttuvan, Founder of BabyMD. “#BooTheFlu wasn’t just about protecting children from the flu. We asked ourselves: what if a vaccine visit could become a child’s happiest memory instead of their most dreaded one? That one question sparked an experience that’s both playful and purposeful.”

At the heart of the campaign is the Flu-Fighter Van—a custom-designed mobile unit that offers needle-free, WHO-approved quadrivalent flu vaccines for children aged six months and above. The van provides free doorstep pick-up and drop-off, with interiors decked out in plush toys, fairy lights, music, snacks, and games. Once at the clinic, kids are welcomed with festive décor, a Mickey Mouse mascot, and child-sensitive care that ensures the joyful tone continues throughout the visit.

The campaign’s impact has been immediate and powerful. In just four weeks, over 500 parents registered for the Flu ride, with 30 lucky families experiencing the joyride firsthand. The initiative earned enthusiastic praise, with parents calling it “the best clinic experience” their child ever had—boasting 100% smiles and zero tears. Due to its success, BabyMD has extended free pick-up and drop-off services to all appointments booked at any of its clinics.

Operating five clinics across Bengaluru—in Electronic City, Hosa Road, HSR Layout, Varthur, and Bellandur—BabyMD offers a holistic, tech-driven pediatric ecosystem. It combines milestone tracking with in-house speech, occupational, and behavioral therapies, ensuring early detection and intervention without the need for referrals. Backed by W Health Ventures and Spark (Peak XV), the startup supports continuous care through digital records, proactive WhatsApp check-ins, and seamless follow-ups.

With #BooTheFlu, BabyMD not only champions preventive care but also sets a new benchmark in pediatric healthcare by proving that joy and medicine can go hand in hand.
