Mumbai : The Movie production arm of Ekta Kapoor – Balaji Motion Pictures has ropes in Shubhodip Pal as its new CEO, the former CMO of Micromax. Pal had quit Micromax in February, following which Shubhajit Sen had been appointed as Micromax’s CMO.
Shubodip Pal had joined Micromax in December 2012. Over 18 years of Consumer marketing experience in launching, building and managing brands from consumer durables to the banking/financial, IT hardware sector and Telecom Services sector.
Pal has worked in the consumer space, in the areas of strategizing and implementing new and innovative campaigns. Before Micromax, Pal was heading Blyk India, a mobile messaging company, where he had launched India’s first mobile magazine catering to the youth as its Country Manager & Director.
Prior to joining Blyk, Pal was Head of Consumer Marketing at Hewlett-Packard India, Personal Systems Group, managing both HP and Compaq brands. He was with the company for five years. Pal has also worked with companies such as Samsung India and ABN-AMRO.
