Mumbai: Zee News has climbed to the No. 2 position in the BARC ratings for Week 50’25, marking its strongest performance in nearly six years and reaffirming its growing connect with audiences across India.
As per BARC India data (HSM | All 15+ | 06:00–24:00 hrs), Zee News emerged as the second most-watched Hindi news channel, delivering robust viewership, strong reach of 50.8 million viewers, and healthy engagement metrics. The performance underscores a decisive comeback driven by consistency, credibility, and a viewer-first editorial approach.
The channel’s performance is particularly noteworthy in rural and free-to-air markets, where Zee News continues to demonstrate category leadership. In HSM Rural markets, Zee News ranked No. 1 among NCCS All 15+ audiences, commanding a 12.2% market share in Week 50’25 (share calculated on 14 channels, AMA ’000). The channel also delivered the highest reach in HSM Rural, touching 17.6 million viewers during the week.
On the Free Platform, Zee News sustained its leadership position, ranking No. 1 among NCCS All 15+ audiences in HSM markets with a 12.7% market share in Week 50’25, while also leading in reach with 15 million viewers. Regionally, Zee News emerged as the No. 1 news channel in Uttar Pradesh & Uttarakhand, registering a 13.5% market share (share calculated on 14 channels, AMA ’000), further strengthening its footprint in key Hindi-speaking markets.
